The pvServe service power supply is a multifunctional tool designed for PV installers, electrical contractors, and inspectors working on photovoltaic system testing and maintenance. With a freely adjustable output voltage of 0–1000 V DC, up to 5 A current, and a maximum power of 3.3 kW, the unit enables controlled backfeeding of PV strings using a standard 230 V AC outlet (16 A). The device is ideal for backfeed thermography, allowing hotspot detection without requiring solar irradiation. Measurements can therefore be performed independently of weather conditions — even at night. It also supports electroluminescence testing, making it possible to detect microcracks and defective bypass diodes in solar modules. Additional applications include bypass diode testing, inverter commissioning without an installed PV generator, and controlled snow melting by feeding current into PV modules. Operation via an integrated graphic display ensures practical and intuitive handling in field service environments. With its robust portable design and weight of approximately 18.5 kg, pvServe is an ideal solution for on-site photovoltaic service and maintenance work.

Configuration and Capacity Options
At maximum voltage utilization up to 1000 V, up to 19 modules with 72 cells can be tested in series.
For 60-cell modules, up to 22 units can be powered and diagnosed in series.
At the full current of 5 A, a maximum voltage of 660 V is available, which is suitable for many service and diagnostic tasks.
In 5 A operation, up to 12 modules with 72 cells or up to 15 modules with 60 cells can be tested.
