NXI-6200 / NXI-6201 – Modular Analog Output Modules for High-Precision Signal Simulation in Test Engineering

The NXI-6200 and NXI-6201 modules are designed for demanding test automation, hardware-in-the-loop simulations and industrial test environments. As high-precision 16-bit analog output modules with four galvanically isolated channels, they provide a stable and precisely controllable signal source for laboratory, development and production applications.

The key advantage lies in the combination of high signal accuracy, isolated channels and the modular NXI system architecture. This allows precise voltage and current signals to be generated reproducibly and with low interference, even in complex test systems.

The series is ideal for applications where analog sensor signals need to be simulated, measurement systems calibrated or automated test sequences implemented with high repeatability.

Key Advantages

ISO
Channel-by-channel galvanic isolation
Each of the four output channels is isolated, helping to prevent ground loops and unwanted potential coupling in complex test systems.
16B
High signal resolution
The 16-bit resolution enables high-precision sensor emulation and realistic reproduction of even very fine signal changes.
CVCC
Flexible operating modes
Each channel can be configured independently as a constant voltage or constant current output, maximizing application flexibility.
1SL
Compact single-slot design
Multiple modules can be integrated into one chassis to increase channel density while minimizing space requirements in the test cabinet.
FAST
High signal dynamics
With slew rates of up to 0.7 V/µs and fast setup times from 100 µs, dynamic test profiles can be output precisely.
RIP
Low ripple
Low ripple values of up to ≤ 0.2 mVrms or ≤ 0.5 mVrms ensure high signal purity and reproducible measurement results.

Typical Applications

The NXI-6200 and NXI-6201 modules are suitable for precise analog signal simulation in development, quality assurance and automated test engineering.

Functional and System Description

The modules support both constant voltage source operation and constant current source operation and are designed for maximum interoperability in automated environments.

4CH
Four isolated output channels
Each channel operates independently and enables flexible signal generation for multi-channel test and simulation tasks.
CV
Constant voltage operation
Precise voltage source function for simulating classic analog signals and sensor interfaces.
CC
Constant current operation
Suitable for current interfaces such as 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA or, depending on the model, also ±200 mA.
TRG
Hardware triggering in the chassis
When used in the NXI-F1000 chassis, complex test sequences can be triggered synchronously and reproducibly.
12V
Independent stand-alone operation
Alternatively, the modules can be operated independently via a 12 VDC power supply.
NET
Standardized control
Logical control is carried out via LAN with support for SCPI, Modbus-RTU and, depending on the model, CANopen.
