NXI-3106 series overview
The NXI-3106 is a modular programmable DC power supply for integrated test systems and automated production testing. Each 4 HP module provides one 60 W channel. The model range comprises the NXI-3106-6/12 with 6 V and 12 A, NXI-3106-15/4 with 15 V and 4 A, NXI-3106-30/2 with 30 V and 2 A, and NXI-3106-60/1 with 60 V and 1 A. The module supports independent control or integration into NXI-F1080, NXI-F1030 and NXI-F1020 measurement and control chassis. A 4U chassis accommodates up to 16 channels. Constant-voltage, constant-current and constant-power operation are complemented by programmable sequences and selectable CC/CV priority. LAN and CAN, remote sense and supported automation protocols facilitate repeatable test routines.
Key benefits
High channel density
One channel occupies a single slot only 4 HP wide, while a 4U chassis accommodates up to 16 channels.
Four coordinated ranges
Four models combine 6, 15, 30 or 60 V with 12, 4, 2 or 1 A at 60 W each.
Priority matched to the DUT
Voltage priority limits voltage overshoot; current priority supports low-impedance DUTs and reduces current overshoot.
Repeatable test profiles
Up to 1,000 steps distributed across ten files program voltage, current and dwell time.
Regulation at the load
Two-wire and four-wire connections with remote sense measure voltage directly at the DUT.
Ready for automation
LAN and CAN plus SCPI, Modbus RTU and CANopen support integration into supervisory control systems.
How the programmable DC power supply works
The NXI-3106 delivers DC power and operates in constant-voltage or constant-current regulation according to load and setpoint. In CV mode it maintains the programmed voltage until the current limit is reached. In CC mode it limits the output to the programmed current. CP mode regulates output power over the range up to 60 W.
Selectable CC/CV priority adapts transient behavior to the DUT. Voltage priority provides a fast, smooth voltage rise with reduced voltage overshoot. Current priority is intended for low-impedance loads or applications where current overshoot must be avoided. The output supports two-wire and four-wire connections. A minimum voltage of 1 V is specified for remote compensation, and total power-supply output must not exceed 65 W under this condition.
